A series of events were conducted to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Ad Club Madras. The first was the Living Legends Nite conceived by the young and energetic Bimal Nair (Contract Advertising) when six living legends of the ad Industry were honoured at a flittering function held at Le Meridien, Chennai on the 25th January 2006. The dignitaries who received the awards included...

• Alyque Padamse (Lintas)
• Christopher Rosario (JWT)
• Mohammed Khan (Nexus Enterprise)
• Piyush Pandey (O&M)
• Ravi Deshpande (Contract)
• Rajiv Menon (Cinematographer and Ad film maker from Chennai).

Each of the living legends received a special memento and a citation. This was followed by a 'sit down silver service dinner' and jazz music by Frank Dubier and his quartet. The programme was unique and had class written all over it, inspiring Mohammed Khan to observe, 'Such an elegant evening which no other Ad Club in India has ever organised, I would like to take a few lessons to Mumbai'.
